1.Summarize:

       Under the high temperature, there will be chemical reaction on the carboxyl group, usually is react with the amines to the amide, dimer acid consist of micro monomer acid and few trimer acid, is able to dissolve in majority organic solvent, does not dissolve in the water.

3.Characteristic :

       Under normal temperature, its apperence is light yellow granular substance. Avirulence, nonirritating, high viscosity and good adhesive, high flash point, high ignition point, doesnt freeze under low temperature. It dissolves in the majority of solvents, never dissolve in the water.

5.Application:

       A.Dimer acid and the amine with additive (supplementary material) participation will react and than produce many kinds of different molecular weights polyamide in the different amount, which applies massively in manufacturing  graver or flexo printing ink.

       B.Dimer acid and the multi-dimensional amine reacted to produce activated amine. its widely applies to make the double component epoxy paint, the curing agent and the epoxy cementing material. It also can be used to make each kind of special lubricant under low temperature, the low pressure.

       C.Dimer acid is used to make hot melt adhesive, which is widely used to make thermoplastic product and joint of electric cable in the posts and telecommunications, the communication equipment.
